The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. So I've discovered that Arisakas breed like Mosin Nagants. I have a safe and gun room full of them... since I'm new here (though some of the guys here know me from other boards), I thought I'd share some of my more interesting rifles:

First my Type 2 - paid way too much for it. It's 100% matching, including the dust cover. Mum is intact. Cleaning rod present - also included a quick detach sling:

Next is a Kokura Concentric Circle rifle - not matching but has all of the early features:

Type 30 - has a canceled mum - I have the rifle, bayonet, capture papers, and the BOX it all came back in:

My one Type 44 at this point - matching, mum, 3rd pattern bayo:

My one early Type 99 that's all matching including dust cover. Unfortunately the mum is struck:

Nagoya Type 99 with the Grooved Safety:

Pair of Type 99 Longs - both ground...

[/b]WOW! those are some great rifles. they look like they never made it to the battle. I really like those paratrooper rifles, I never had it in me to spend the $$$ to get one , but I really like the way they look.

Great collection fingolfen. :-o

I like to read about these Japanese weapons.
You rarely see them over here.
I know ONE member of the Dutch Firearms Collectors Association who collects Japanese weapons and he has to go through a lot of trouble finding them.
Besides his weapons I only saw these in a museum.
