Attention New Members and those new registering!
We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username.
If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7.

Thank you all very much for giving me a hand with this... I believe the following is correct...

My mom has this flag currently given to her by my grandfather (her dad, who's 85) along with some other stuff. I don't really know the story behind it as I wasn't there when he gave it to her. I plan to ask though next time I talk to him. He gave me a nice Type 99 and a bayonet to go with it though.

precious to be sure roy, i had known these were sort of a send off item with good wishes, but it is more personal than i had imagined. i had envisioned a unit thing or possibly a community thing, i did not comprehend that they were a family thing.

im grateful for this education, and enjoy the topic, and im glad it got translated
