The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7. Thanks for joining us from the administration.

I have been offered what the seller states is an early type 99. I'm waiting on more photos and information but the odd part about the rifle is a brass plate on the bottom of the forestock. Has any one here seen this before? My thoughts are its a rack number as the seller says that the rifle still has its mum.

I have never seen anything like it before. It could be a rack number, then it might be something added to make it more tradeable or sellable on the GI. market at the time. Very interesting though.

....done post war Japan by someone the Vet had do it as some sort of inscription while there???....I've heard of other things done like that

....closet I can provide is this for now of a t99 long...

....thats all I have of the front end on file ready to go right now...probably wont help much... :-?
