My only brother was born August 5, 1920, he died about 5 years ago. Talked to his son just a little while ago. Time does fly. I remember the war very well. I was 11 when it ended. I can remember grown folks talking. Course there was no TV and I don't think we even had a radio during that time. But I remember the boys coming home.

I would like to know how that rifle got out of that arsenal without being ground, and how it has been kept in such good shape all these years before I got it. I got it off auction from Jack The Dog. I have am old vetran friend that brought a carbine back from that arsenal and it was new but they ground it before he got it. Roy

There was an article about the last rifles made at the T-K arsenal at Hiroshima by Stan Zielinski in Banzai in the October or before issue of Banzia. I received this rifle October 23, 2006 and part of the reason I bought it was I knew by the serial number what it was because of the article. I have forgotten most of the details but I posted this over on Gunboards and they are questioning my dating methord. I have written to Stan to see if he will read and post a reply as I talked with him when I got it. If I get an answer I will post it here or direct you to it. This is why it is so important to know all you can about what ever type rifle you collect. riceone

I have been challenged on the date I posted. But a man of much more knowledge than me came up with that date. Yes it is rare to know when a rifle was made even down to a month. Pistols on the other hand are dated to the month and year. No it does not glow in the dark, I have checked it riceone :D
