Here's a real oddball for you. It's a 27th Series Type 99 manufactured by Tokyo Juki Kogyo. The first 5000 or so of these had the late war features (fixed sight, welded front barrel band, etc., but were built up on early fully inletted stocks. This example is all matching with its mum.

Couple of views of the stock - note the wooden buttplate on a stock inletted for a metal one, the single screw sling swivel and the welded barrel band on a stock inletted for a 2 or 3 screw nose band.
