We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username.
If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7.

Thanks for joining us from the administration.

I was digging around my Japanese rifles and I was unable to read the series number on one of my last ditch rifles. It is still mummed but mismatched bolt (bolt parts match). It is a 4 digit serial number Nagoya and it is in pretty good shape.

It also has an odd sling on it and I'm wondering if is a correct style sling for the era. It kinda has staples or bent and flattened wire at the ends making the loops and was done on the rifle as there is no way of removing it from the rifle. No writing can be seen on the sling.

Any ways here are some photos of it. Thanks!

That is a 6 th. series mark. My 6th. is in the 15K range and it has the ladder sight with AA wings, full top handguard and two screw front band, short cleaning rod and a middle band for the pod. I don't beleive that receiver belongs with that stock and barrel. That style stock did not appear till in the late 7th series. riceone

I found my Arisaka book and yes it's an odd one. I don't know whether to part it out or restore it. I have barrels and bolts, but it would be the stock that might be hard.

Tomorrow I'm going to take it all apart and see what markings are under the wood. Is there any history of battle field rebuilds that might explain it and the odd sling?

It was under 200 shipped and I thought I would swap the sling over to my matching last ditch but once I got it I realized that it can't be removed.

Guns are fun aren't they!!
