Attention New Members and those new registering!
We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username.
If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7.

Thanks for joining us from the administration.

Well if Roy doesn't recognize it I would lean strongly towards French. The Mount looks a little like the Mas 49 and 49/56 style. The case I would say about 85% guess is French by the closer strap (which does look like the Japanese holster straps)

The French have used the similar type since the WW1 era. The rivets look like the rivets on many of my French cases from the 50's on. Does the scope look to be an off to the side and not over the top of the rifle?

I have yet to find any info on it but I still lean towards the French idea.
