Yes, VERY impressive! Even a pressure test gun! It always does my heart well to see a genuine, die-hard collector! 8-)

I haven't any Japanese arms but a Type I... What do you consider the centerpiece of your collection? SW

To the left of the three rifles pictued are some more stuff. In the second row click on the rifle in the picture to the right. The second rifle is a T38 Test Sniper assembled in about 1932 when the Japanese were wanting to go to snipers. It has a different block from any of the other Japanese snipers and was for a 4x scope that had vertical adjustment but no horizonal. This is the 8th one of these rifles known to exist.Story is that this collection belonged to a man who had connections with Curtis Lemay in order to get all this stuff home from Japan.

Come to the 2010 SEMCA meeting here at my shop and this rifle will be on display.

I can remember some enjoyable days here on this forum, have had a lot of satisfaction collecting Japanese rifles. I see lots of names I remember. The T38 Sniper pictured above I recently sold to a friend in Florida that has wanted it ever since I got it. The fun of collecting is the finding and buying. It was time for someone else to enjoy having it. I'm 82 years old and I want to get the scarce stuff in hands that will enjoy and take care of it like I did. You guys have fun and take care of the collections.
