I am looking at a type 14 nambu pistol asking price 500 looks good chrome/nickle looking finish comes with 1/2 box ammo. Is this finish original? officers dress type or is it added? and what do you think of the asking price? GG |

I sure don't see them for any less these days. It could always be de-nickeled. SW |

But you run a risk with de-nickeling, for that price you can find them on GunBroker in original trim |

I may try to negotiate the price a bit But i think i will get the pistol. I see most of them going for 6 bills or better on gunbroker. and then you have to add in shipping ect. I'll see if i can find out who and why on the nickle finish. And it's always good to support your local gunshop. if these came around more often i might give it a pass. But this is the one and only i have seen locally and it would fill a gaping hole in my ww2 collection Thanks all for your help. i will let you know what transpires GG |

finish is not original - probably done to "improve" it by someone who thought it 'just an old army pistol' but if you like it - buy it , i agree they dont show up very often |
