Well i made a trip to the gun shop and it resulted in me putting 100 down on the nambu It ain't original been nickled and grips replaced. But mechanically it's excellent!! made in nov 1943 at nagoya according to marks I did some dickering and we settled on what seemed a fair price to us both Someone took care of this weapon it wasn't thrown in a corner or a closet somewhere although the nickle is patchy Makes me curious. Once i get it in my hands i am gonna do a little digging. |

I would have grabbed that one, too. I've always wanted to mess around shooting one. SW |

...Ill betcha it was a bringback, and the Vet who picked it up wanted to "pimp" it up-therefore the coating...have also heard of it being done with lugers and P38's... |

I had one of those pimped Lugers... pink lucite grips - nickel plated trigger & side plate. Shot just fine... wish I hadn't sold it. SW |

ive encountered some bring-back bayonets that were plated to make them more trophy-like [and no they were not done for parade use] |

That's a nice looking pistol. You don't have to worry about scratching the blue. Ammo is avaliable from several places. I have a friend in Pheonix that sells it if you can't find any, let me know. I'm not a pistol shooter but the point and shoot well. Trigger is smooth a soft. riceone. |

You can get ammo from a gent by the name of Mr. Nambu. He sells it on most of the gun auction sites. |
