Good old No3 Mk1. The X in the serial is a crossed sword proof mark, no part of the serial. It should be shipable to a C&R even though the date is 1964 just because of the type rifle it is. The crack in the stock isn't that bad and looks repairable from what I can tell. And if you can get it for the opening bid price, its not out of line at all.

Sorry about that, I don't do Enfields at all. It does look good though.

Still it is amazingly good looking for a third world rifle. Sooooo tempting.

looks better than a lot of Brit made enfields. I doubt this was made totally with hand tools, but I could be very, very wrong.

my sentiments exactly - not for the novice collector , its an advanced collectors investment[read that-I GOTTA SPEND MONEY ON AN ENFIELD AND I HAVE THEM ALL] its not legit in any way

The fonts used are a dead give away - not to mention the fit and the strange pattern on the rear sight protector and the brass butt disk.
