I admit to having severely limited photographic skills so today I tried to enhance them by looking at different backgrounds. In the two pictures I feel the green background shows the rifles of better. What do you think?

All of these rifles are Savage made and are US Property Marked (Lend Lease).

The top rifle is a Savage No.4 Mark 1/3. It was converted to Mark 2 spec. at Fazakerley in 1951 from a No.4 Mark 1*. The bayonet is a No.7 Mark 1/L

The next rifle down is an unissued Savage No.4 Mark 1* made in 1943. It has a South African property mark on the receiver. The bayonet is a No.4 MarkII*

Next in line is a 1942 Savage No.4 Mark 1 rifle in mint condition. It has the No.4 Mark II bayonet attached.

At the bottom is very rare rifle in Sniper configuration. It is a Savage No.4 Mark 1 made in 1941, serial no. 0C864 and was part of the very first shipment of Savage rifles to Britain. It was converted to a No. 4 Mark 1(T) at Enfield. One of only a thousand to be converted there before Holland and Holland took over the program.

i agree , i like the green - im partial to green in almost every case , but despit my color preferance , i agree it shows them off better , its the background that sets off the details in the photo ,
ive been using the unfinished knotty pine background for a lot of my photos because its here - and seemed to set off the normaly dark milsurp wood with a warm - light - neutral background , but inm ready for a change if not only to confirm that as the better choice ,

in short i like the second best , but mostly i like your rifles :D
