so much , and think so highly of all of you [i spend by far most of my i-net time here with you] as well as the general atmosphere here ,

there is an educational aspect to this post for those interested in the reason i expended the effort i did here , there were responces by some whom i respect in the enfeild area for their working knowledge ,

its not enough to buy the rifle , i think its important to get to know it as well

Yeah, you hit the nail on the head about why I call YW my home on the web when it comes to forums. I looked a lot before I found this one. I am glad I found YW.

im the same most everywhere i go - unless their system wont accept part of my standard ID ,
did you read the entries ? is it me or dose there seem to be a lot of folks interested in bristleing rather than discussing these days ?
please dont missread me this has nothing to do with this site --at least mostly not , ive seen this at various sites , thin skin and the attitude that info provideed in some way is offensive , most of the folks on that site are cooperative and some are very knowledgable - some i consider highly knowledgeable , they give good data without the BS ,

thats my problem with it don, i think the intent was clear, as to the tone, it too was clear, and i'm thinking that assumption of disrespect is a common denominator in this fellows life, sad, most folks like to get things straight and perhaps are light hearted, some even tongue-in-cheek while responding, the dumb part is you often can learn more from a bit of friendly ribbing than from a textbook, it sticks with you better, oh well, i get to come here and deal with mario bite me

I cruse 2 others but this one is home. I have had some on another hint/tell me that a rifle that I have with a 1945 date (on the barrel shank--which is the way to tell) was made in 1946 or later!! At least here folks are open to ideas
