CLLE = Charger Loading Lee Enfield- another but different variation of the Lee Enfield.

Tetsau, from your pictures it looks to be correct to the extent that there is nothing obviously false or incorrect. However, like A Square said the pics are blurry.

Picture one shows the bolt mounted safety - good

but I can't read the rest of the markings on the butt socket - these are key clues to authenticity.

Pic two shows the "E" for enfield rifling - good and the S<>S mark indicating that the rifle was "sold out of service" - a good indictaion itwent into civilian hands wherer it would have been used for club shooting - good

Pic three volley sights, rear sight and barrel band all look correct.

Pic four is the same info as pic two

Pic five shows some pitting but below wood line - normal

It also shows the barreel serial numbner that I can't read

The last pic looks great showing proof and view marks along with the barrel date of 1907. The fonts are clear here and look very authentic.

If I had to make a call - I would say this is the genuine thing being offered at the market rate.

the CLLE [charger loading lee enfeild] was a MLE [magazine lee enfeild] with a charger bridge added , this allowed the use of what we yanks call stripper clips for faster loading , the brits call them chargers ,

in terms of club rifles they are generally service rifles with conversions [ shortened] to be used in competitive shooting , they would not add a charger bridge or delete one for this purpose ,
as always the sales staff thought it sounded better to call it that -even if its not
it could indeed have been a CLLE converted for club use [in which case it would have a bridge ] or a MLE converted for club use [without a bridge] , but generaly shortened to current service rifle length ---remember these are long lees shortened to Short Magazine Lee Enfeild length to qualify to shoot the competitions

Thanks for the info on CLLE.I knew about the added on charger bridge,but had never seen this abbreviation. I'd love to have an early LE
someday,but theyre beyond my budget -TR

those are beautiful , id also love to have a NZ one day but ive yet to see one available [or at the right price]
