Nice looking rifle, and to add a little more to your description it looks like a No.4 Mark 1*.

Not very many Savage No.4 Mark 1's were made as economy and speed of production had the Mark 1* modifications approved early.

I would expect your rifle to have a 2 groove barrel but that's not always the case.
