What?

I think I've heard of this. A bone or ivory insert used much the way the more modern light colored plastic inserts are used to give a better low light bead.

I've been going through catalogs on Enfield match rifle accesories . I may find more on it there.

The Parker Hale PH5A is on the way from South Africa. Its on the slow boat so it will be around two weeks before it gets here.

Still looking for a restorable Mk III forend in highly figured Beech.
Bore cleaned up fine. The long stay in the jammed safe didn't do any lasting harm.
