Fazakerley made No.4 Mark 1, looks like a 1942

Has it been parkerized?

neil , it looks like suncorite to me , but how did you get FAZ ? i cant see it , i see ROF on the socket but not the rest ,

It may be the light that makes it look parkerized. If it is, it has been refinished as Fazakerley didn't do that. Either way its still a very attractive rifle. Is it a two grooved bore?

To prevent you from scratching the wood, I need to tell you that the sling is supposed to be installed with the ends of the brass tabs facing out and the smooth head of the rivets facing the wooden stock.

Yes, I was using the serial number to confirm but also the pattern of stamping is familiar.

aaahhh , i missed the sling ,

do turn it around , and reset - hands width at the butt , take up the slack at the forearm , thats a nice looking setup

did it come with buttrap kit ? need a oiler and pullthru

I do need a oiler and pullthru.
It had nothing in the buttend...you got a extra?

i gotta look - i may have the oiler but im thinking im short the pullthru , but if i dont ive got a source i can refer you to - might be most economical to get both from the same source what with postage and all ,

It is a two grooved bore.
