If you ever sell a firearm, or just about anything else , that was given to you by a friend you'll always end up regretting it.
I don't even sell a gun I've bought from a friend unless I ask them first if they'd like to buy it back at the same price they had asked for it originally regardless of any increase in value over time.

If the bore is good and fired cases look good I'd consider it a good shooting example and take it to the range or hunting rather than a more collectable example I might find later own.

sfc I have the image uploaded for your "Special Rank" but with this new version of phpBB I don't know how to manipulate the Mods like on version 2. I will need Fr8dude (The forum guru) to create this for you. Hang in there it is in the works

Can do. But Bruce where did you upload the rank gif to? I did not find it in the rank managment tab.

We do try our best to honor those who have served by "granting" them the rank the earned in service to their country(what ever country you hail from).

Theres another manual available on the M1917 only.

When I find it I'll post both on the US rifles forum and in my Public Domain books sticky in the general collecting forum.

get skennertons SAIS no10 on the P1914/M1917 , to go with that stratton vol4 ,

but for the M1917 get CS Ferris book 'Us rifle model 1917" from scott duff publications its the most comprehensive to date
