MA Lithgow S.M.L.E III * 1941 cadet rifle with green stripe on the stock, bolt matches receiver. what is this thing worth? I am considering buying it but I want to make sure it's worth it! Oh and it comes with the bayonet.

Rifle = $300 - $350
bayonet = $75

Yes, as Mike states "green" is a good thing. The Aussies graded their cadet rifles and a green band indicated it was in the best condition.

Well, spending cash is always a personal decision

However, the value of the rifle I see along with its sling and bayonet certainly justify an asking price of $300.

it was a great buy , he never said if he bought it tho , it would be worth twice that right now ,
it appeared to be lithgow made in 1941 and FTRd or transitioned to cadet use in 52 , the bayonet was a 1917 so it would be worth twice that as well now ,

it appears to have been complete and in decent condition , wishin would have got it in my possession

Don’t remember when or where I saw that rifle but I did not buy it. But I bought plenty of others over the years.

yes you did , congrats , im not certain the cadet would have fit in =with a lot of those anyway ,
