I have been poking around looking for a real good deal on a Savage made enfield. I know I should have grabbed one when they were every where. But as usual I procrastinated to long. Anyone seen any good ones for sale Cheap!!? |

Always check the bolt travel of a Mk1* with the magazine removed. If the bolt track or bolt body are worn the bolt head is tilted down on the closing stroke and the edge of the rail can lever the extractor lug upwards to make it jump the track. With magazine in the left feed lip limits how far the bolt head can move downwards so the situation is hidden. Thats about the only problem the Mk 1* has thats an aggravation. |
