I put this post on another sight I belong to but I thought I would share it here as well. Well I was in an Antique shop looking at bayonets and was asking the owner about old guns he dug this out of the back. It has surface rust on it and the stock was real dirty. I decided to clean off the butt stock and when I saw how great the wood looked I stopped and took pictures of the rest before I did any more. The rifle is all matching, and the stock has a 1938 stamp on the stock. Looks like the thing is going to clean up good. Funny cause I never would have gone out looking for one to buy.This one is not import marked and had a tag attached to it that said property of sgt John something. Here are the picks. |

I'll post some new pics when I get it cleaned up. I just finishaed cleaning the butt stock and reoiling it.The tiger stripe looks great. |
