Very good question. Seems there was 2 Frances after the German invasion. Vichi France and the Free French. Not really up on the that part of the history. |

Although I have not shot this rifle, I fired a friends MAS36 and it proved to be very accurate, and pleasant to shoot. I was very impressed. |

I think the Mas 36 is a great looking rifle but by the time the Mas made it to the 49/56 all good looks went out the door, but I had to buy one just to add to the Mas collection. |
