Attention New Members and those new registering! We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7. Thanks for joining us from the administration.

Hello! Some body has to post some French stuff here. This one is mostly matching except for the mag base plate. It's got a 1938 barrel and it looks like a 1939 on the stock. I think it's a G prefix serial number. The front sling band does have the lower loop also. Gatsby sorry you missed out on another one. :bigrin:

ive seen some buys in photo or purchase forums but they dont get into here for some reason ,

thats a beauty , is that what gatsby is seeking ? i wasnt clear about what he wanted - is there a semiauto version of these too ?

I thought it wa the MAS49 then they put on the launcher & made it a 49/56? But I could be wrong on that. I have a 49/56 but I don't think I have any pictures

Ok

Here is the line up with photos!

Top is

Mas44 French no launcher
Mas49 Syrian (bayonet) issue with launcher
Mas49 French (no bayonet) issue launcher removed
Mas49/56 French with different type launcher and sorry no photo's

I now have the MAS49 French issue with a good view of the launcher. Again not the lack of bayonet. On the MAS49's the French did not issue bayonets. Only the Syrian issue rifles had the bayonet.
