Hello, again! I have quite a bit of IMR 3031 and was wondering if any of you have any pet loads using this powder. My new Hornady book shows quite a few loads, but alas, none with 3031. Thanks! |

Hoot mon! I searched the internet and found a starting load. I used 38 grains of IMR 3031 with a 150 grain Hornady SST bullet. They worked fine. Primers looked okay and there was just a bit of soot around the neck of the cases. I suppose you are wondering why I wasted SST bullets on plinking loads. I could not find a source for FMJ bullets of ANY weight. Grafs is short handed on so many of their 30 caliber bullets. The SSTs were the cheapest 150 grainers they had! Cheers. |
