Attention New Members and those new registering! We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7. Thanks for joining us from the administration.

I was getting some pics together for an article on Greek use of Carcanos & happened on this pic of what might be Greek Partisans using a French Chauchat MG.

They might also be Serbs or Chetniks, I'm not sure.

Still, the last place I thought I'd see one of these. I clearly recall ads in gun mags pre-68 selling these for $20 + shipping. SW

They pretty much had to be. If captured by the Germans, they were dead. Hung mostly.

In the Time-Life series on WW2, there are some haunting pics that way in the book on partisans. SW

sad , things were different then - no geneva convention , oh , thats right , we are still fighting folks that dont abide by that , only we do ..........

but you have to give those folks credit - they stood up for what they believed in , i admire that
