I was getting some pics together for an article on Greek use of Carcanos & happened on this pic of what might be Greek Partisans using a French Chauchat MG. They might also be Serbs or Chetniks, I'm not sure. Still, the last place I thought I'd see one of these. I clearly recall ads in gun mags pre-68 selling these for $20 + shipping. SW

Don't ya wish you had grabbed a box of them back then. Of course 20 bucks was worth something back than. |

They pretty much had to be. If captured by the Germans, they were dead. Hung mostly. In the Time-Life series on WW2, there are some haunting pics that way in the book on partisans. SW |

sad , things were different then - no geneva convention , oh , thats right , we are still fighting folks that dont abide by that , only we do .......... but you have to give those folks credit - they stood up for what they believed in , i admire that |

Sellers was good in that movie, but my favorite part was Slim Pickins riding the nuke down. SW |
