It has been 4 months since I've been on this website and at my age that means I lost track of time and answers. My question is regarding how to increase the height of my front sight post on my Carcano M91 Suprema, which apparently use to be a long rifle and converted into a carbine. Pictures are on this sight under my user name. My POI is centered at 50 yards since I moved the front sight to the left but my elevation has always been 10 to 12 inches high using a Our Military 6 hold even when I lower the front sight post to the bottom of the V rear sight. I have read and been told that the Italian Army's sight picture was aimed at the belt line of combatants which would automatically raise a bullet using our method. I need to raise my front sight post 1/8 to 3/16 inches to compensate for our standard Military sight picture. There is indication that a kit is sold that uses a mold with apoxy to create the size of the front post you want. Can someone advise me about this matter.
Best Regards, Ron

That's an interesting question Ron I just got an M38 Breschia that I got on a trade with ET. I was looking at the front sight and it looks like it can be raised. Think I'm just going to solve the problem all around by buying myself a scope that can be mounted on any rifle

Build up the front sight with JB Weld, file to shape & proper elevation......finish with a black sharpie to cover the grey.

:D

I just had a funny thought I was reading Ron's post again Now if the Carcano was designed to hit them at the gig line(belt line),and the rifle has a tendancy to fire low, guess where that round is going to hit him He'll be yelling for someone to finish him off :fny: :fny: :jok:
