I made an offer on that one a month or so ago and even check on it from time to time. He has been told that its rarer then it is. I asked NebrHogger what he thought about it maybe he will share some info on it here. Sadly my offer was WAY low and declined.

If I had the cash in hand & nothing else interesting was hanging fire on the auctions, I might go 300 on it.

He should just as well name it as it will be in the family for a LONG time at 4 large.

I saw a really nice 91/24 Carcano at the gun show yesterday for $165.I was telling him about the $4000 91/28.He said he would like to get that for his 91/24 but he is realistic.If I was still into Carcano's,I probably would have bought his.

That price would have been worth it for a nice M91-24 are they are normally beat all to heck, having survived WWI.

They fill a slot in the collection but due to the tight twist portion of the barrel having been amputated, they don't shoot well at all. SW

I also have that book, I use it from time to time but have noticed many errors in it. I truly think that the price given is for the Tromboni Launchi Bombe Carcano (with launcher of course) as I have noticed in the book there are even some arms info with the wrong photos!
