Post subject:  New to the Forums.
Hello all! I'd just like to introduce myself. My name is Joseph Poarch and I'm active duty Army currently in EOD school. I got into Carcanos just before I shipped out and bought myself a $60 M41 sporter. The more I look into them more I am enthralled with them. I also just bought a post war M38 TS 8mm conversion for $120. I also just bought the book "Italy's Battle Rifle" from one of the co-authors on another forum site. I'm extremely excited to receive and read it. I've also been eyeballing a M91 cav carbine at a local shop in Destin. Looks like I may expand the collection soon. Just thought I'd introduce myself to the Carcano section of the forum and say I've found a lot on this forum extremely helpful (i.e. the 8mm clip conversion tutorial).

Welcome!!! You want to talk Italian rifles, you have come to the right place! :bigrin: I'm glad you like the book! If you'd like, I can send a peel-n-stick autograph plate. Unless Russ already sent one with the book. I made a big stack for him.

EOD? In my LEO days, I took the civilian IED course at Redstone. A great school! SW

I'm glad to see such a warm welcome! I certainly enjoy EOD. Wish school wasn't as long as it was. Atleast I'm not Navy though and it be even longer. :bigrin:
