Attention New Members and those new registering!
We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username.
If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7.

Italian M.95s were delivered as war reparations right after WW1 so they are mostly in x50R... well, I haven't seen an x56Rs but they might exist. I very much like the cartridge. G Schwertley has worked up a lot of loads for it. SW

Scroll down to the Austro-Hungarian Straight pull forum ( a little farther down than this one) and there are multiple posts on the topic.

I like the Lee 205grain gas checked bullet with 20.0 grains AA5744. Very mild and it shoots close to the sights. I trim and size Privi 7.62x54R brass into 8x50R. SW

My pet load for my 88/90 and my m95 in 8x50R, is 40grn. of IMR 4350, with a 200grn. lead slug. I have even used the 205grn. .330 dia.jacketed bullet. the latter shoots better. and with low pressures.
