Attention New Members and those new registering!
We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username.
If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7.

Thanks for joining us from the administration.

Somebody on another forum epoxied a scope mount on a Carcano so it could be removed without leaving drill marks. If the propane removal method doesn't harm the bluing, this is commendable. Anybody know what a propane torch does to a black oxide finish (bluing)?

Best Regards,

Mark

At the right temp, it turns a very nice blue. Colt used to heat blue revolvers every day. For an epoxy mount, I'd back the glue up with a couple hose clamps. Padded, of course. ;) You gots to protect the finish! Or Finnish if it's a 7.35 with SA mark. SW

I thought that unmentionable caliber was best left alone. Of course, why mess up a perfectly good 6.5mm M38?

Best Regards,
