Attention New Members and those new registering!
We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username.
If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7.

Thanks for joining us from the administration.

I am asking in this forum because I know that the M1891 rod threads into the front band as this one seems to also. This rod threads into a base in the stock too and is 27.5" long. Here are couple of photos of the ends with threads.

I had no idea why the jag end is cut off. This rod interestingly enough came in a M1885 Japanese Murata rifle that I recently obtained. I knew the rod in it wasn't complete but I figured that it was what was left of the jap rod, but this one was in there instead! :thnk:

All I can tell you is that it doesn't appear to be a stock Italian rod. My best guess is that it was altered or fabricated by a former owner. Not much help, I know. Obscure items like this can be life long mysteries. SW
