Been gone a while, but only because I have not found an interesting carcano in my travels.. Until today :)

I found a carcano long rifle. The owner would not let me take pics, but it had FAT 42 stamped on the reciver. The same small flip sight I have on my Calvary carbine, and the serial numbers on the reciver matched the stock. The stock numbers were very light, and it looked like the bolt may have been blued. Swivel sling mounts on the bottom of the stock. They were asking $200, is this a good deal?? Is the rifle a m91??

I found another carcano at another store with a much larger flip sight that I have never seen before, but they had it marked at $600 so I did not pay it much attention. Thanks in advance :)

It's an M41. Hard to tell without seeing it, but a blued bolt might indicate an Egyptian refurb which detracts from the value. A straight bolt handle is correct for this model.

worth $200?? Strictly your call. Closely examine the bore. If it appears to have a sound barrel, it might make a good shooter. Make sure it's in original configuration. Personally, I wouldn't pay 200 for one with a shortened stock. SW

i don't know anything of these but there are way more than ample sources here to give you input , im interested to know what you found , and what the thoughts on value are tho ,

do post some photos when/if you get this , it sounds very interesting
