Attention New Members and those new registering!
We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username.
If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7.

Thanks for joining us from the administration.

I traded a mosin for my first carcano. I had plenty of mosins and this looked like fun. It says FAT 41 on the receiver and the stock number matches the receiver. Looks to be a sporterized stock, but done well? How can I verify the caliber? Considering putting this back to original. Thanks.

The caliber is 6,5 Carcano unless you have reason to believe it has been altered. Handguards are available at SSporters dot com... The stock won't be so easy to find.

And! welcome to the site!! SW :welcome: :welcome: :welcome:

Thank you. Looks like 75.00 will get me a stock set, then I need barrel bands. I am surprised on how well this rifle is built. Ammo is ok, about the same as I pay for M95. Any particular stamps I should look for?

I doubt there will be too many obscure marks on a 1941 M41 - possibly a 4UT but that's all I can think of. It should be a great shooter! SW
