I believe this to be an ex-bomb launcher, not in great shape, missing front sight, but has character. I like how they saved the hand guard.ImageImageImageImageImage

Italian armorers wasted nothing. The launcher stock had the odd cuts filled with beech plugs and cut down for use as a cav carbine stock.

The launcher itself was just too cumbersome to remain in use. The Brixia design that followed was little better.

Italy even used hand me down German launchers. SW

so how come you see 1929 barrels without the fascist date? Did Terni not get the memo.

I can't say for sure. I know Mr Beretta was anti-fascist and didn't go for the Era Fascista date system... Terni? I'll check around. SW

Okay! I checked with two of my Italian friends who tell me the Roman Numeral "Era Fascista" date system wasn't used until later in 1929.

And when figuring EF dates, fascists didn't take power until Oct, 1922 - meaning you could have different EF dates from the same year. SW
