Wouldn't that be the actual land diameter? I know on a lot of old German rifles they were stamped with the actual diameter. of that particular rifle |

Since these were made post war by speculators hoping to make a fast buck on leftover parts in the FNA arsenal they bought at spot market scrap metal prices, I feel this was wrongly marked by a piece work employee with no firearms experience. I have examined actual hundreds of these and have never seen one marked "7,95" before. SW |

No. It's about 2 years off. I feel this was a worn out barrel that had been shelved in the arsenal that hadn't been scrubbed like so many we see. It still looks like inexperienced employees were cleaning up and quickly assembling the last few 8mm conversions from parts on hand. But there's no way to say for certain. I was glad to get it as a curiosity. Might even be in a book someday! SW |
