Black powder sure is fun. I can't believe how accurate this thing is. I was just wondering if you all have any tips on how to keep it clean? I'm lucky to get 12 shots off without it gumming up so bad the cylinder wont move. I clean it thoroughly after my shootin session. But it would be nice to squeeze off another few cylinders. This thing is dead on out to 25 yards. Im headed out right now to try and reach out a bit farther. Thanks, Eli.

There's no real shortcut for cleaning black. Soap, hot water & mucho scrubbing. I've tried different BP subs, but it's pretty much the same drill. SW

Make sure you keep the base pin well lubed. That will help keep the fouling softer and the cylinder rotating longer.

I don't have a pistol but my inline I do a short clean every 3 shots or I can't get the next one down the tub. I bought a bottle of black powder solvent that I soak a patch and run into the barrel then a couple dry patches.

Went back to the range today with new slix shot nipples on my cylinder. I shot about sixty rounds, and i could've kept going. I went 24 grains of powder, felt wad, a little bit of crisco on the wad then the ball. It worked great. No binding and no jams. Sure is a fun gun. Thanks for the responses. Eli
