Attention New Members and those new registering! We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7. Thanks for joining us from the administration.

I was under the impression that the Crown FAG markings are rebuild markings! Yet I have a 1939 Gardone M38 with the a FAG39 marking on the buttstock. Am I wrong thinking that these markings are rebuild markings?

The stock date does match the barrel date. Well I wont think of it as just a refurb mark any more.

On an unsanded stock, the refurb cartouche will be seen in addition to the original one.

And. You will also see refurb marks on metal. Like FAET68 (Fabrica d'Armi Esercito Terni.. sp... ) On a lot of the later refurbs for export, the original stock marks were obliterated for some reason. SW

Does this mean this stock might have been sanded at one time? Or being this rifle in 7.35 stayed home this is its cartouche? These different types or Carcanos are going to drive me nuts

Funny, I did a google search for "Crown FAG" & this is what came up :lol
