The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. I think I posted this on the old site but here it is again in the hopes someone knows more about it. Has any one else seen or heard of any countries that parkerised their Carcano's? I have had this TS for a long time now and have yet to see another parked Carcano.

This one is matching to the stock. The cartouche was damaged when the rifle was cut for the side sling and still has the old style bayonet mount. When I got it and took it apart the metal under the wood was still heavy in cosmoline.

Here are the photos of the rifle. It is a 1918 Brescia with a one piece stock.

One of my "Twins" (the bottom one) is done in black. Is this Parkerized?

I'm still not sure about the parkerizing... that you can buy "park it yerself" kits from places like brownells.com really leaves this issue in a grey area.

The 8mm conversion is not parkerized. You see this finish on very late war rifles. SW

Speaking of youtube, I watch Russian cartoons there. Next time you're bored, watch some "Nu Pagodi" episodes.

(Just you wait!) The adventures of Zaiets & Volk - Hare & Wolf. Kinda their version of Wile E & Roadrunner. The Wolf says "blya!!" a lot - means "rats!' or "dang!". Kinda-sorta. Not actually a curse word.

A good cartoon for kids is "Umka" ( a little polar bear & his Mom) - very appropriate for anyone's children. SW
