I ordered 4 from the guy in France. They look great, arrived promptly, but are all missing that little metal rivet (bolt? pin? whatever?). I took some off other slings I wasn't using. |

One can also use a K98k sling. The Italians copied the K98 sling and used it on Carcano's and Beretta SMG's during WWII. |

With the German slings, did they use the odd buckle that is for the K98 stock hole or did they toss them? |

They did not use the keeper for the K98K stock hole, just ran the sling through the swivel and used a brass or steel button to fasten the sling. |

Thanks I wondered about that. I do have this sling that I'm sure is a repop and I don't even know where I got it but I went ahead and put it on one of my Carcanos. Best of all it looks great on the rifle. Does anyone know who makes it? I would like to get another one or two for my WW2 era Carcanos. I really like it dues to the leather cover on the back of the buckle. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
