The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. Don,

I'm very interested in any antique cav carbine - also a Gardone ValTrompia (might show Gardone VT) from the 30s. Plain Gardone is very common with over 1 million made. If the receivers are nearly bare they are from very late war - post 43.

I saw you scored some 6.5 ammo. If you are leery of the old brass splitting in your chamber, you can just pull the bullets & drop the powder straight into primed modern brass & seat the same bullet to spec.

The old Solenite powder is good stuff, and the load is specific to the rifle.

If by some chance there turns up an 8mm or 7.35 in the pair, my interest just jumped considerably. SW

ouch. haven't seen an [SA] marked cavalry carbine before, but IIRC, all the carcano's sent to finland were 7.35. If it's at all restoreable, that'd be an excellent candidate. y'all have a good day, Keith

I doubt it's an SA cav carbine - probably a cut down M38 short rifle. SW
