Our pal and milsurp magnet, Mybusa sent me a Beretta 1934 holster. I haven't a Beretta, but during WW1 French & Italian troops could procure Spanish handguns for themselves due to a shortage of the military issue items. I scored a Spanish "Ruby clone" and meant to put it in the holster from Mark. No dice - the Ruby is a little bigger than a Beretta. But a fellow at work has a boot & saddle shop - and we graduated high school together - and were in Viet Nam at the same time - and are often on the same train crew - and he did the deal for me. The Ruby now fits the Beretta holster liike a glove! The Italians often hung their pistolas from a bandolier, and the weight helped keep the rifle ammo positioned correctly. The whole scenario I have for the Pvt Guido mannequin display is a bit of a stretch - he's in the Eritrian desert in the 1920s at the end of a very long supply line. As such, he is equipped with items he has been issued or "otherwise acquired". ( you military vets all know how that works! ) In any case, here's Pvt Guido's sidearm, holster and bandolier of ( de-activated) rifle ammo. SW
