This is a mark I found on the rear sight of my M91/28. I have never heard of it on any of the Forums.

This is a mark I found on the rear sight of my M91/28. I have never heard of it on any of the Forums.

It's an assembly mark. Like when a machine operator finished a certain operation, he stamped the sight so the next machinist would know it had already been done. You see a lot of obscure numbers on various parts of the rifle like that - mostly on the bottom of the receiver. SW |
