Dale Sandberg's fighting knives are interesting and I thought you boys might want to see them. Dale Sandberg built a trench fighting knife for his son during the first Gulf War back in the early 90s. Immediately he got requests from other soldiers who saw what he created for his son. A new industry was born and after 20 years they are still building knives for our troops. I used to have quite a few of these but have sold off all but my favorite two, to young men I knew who were going to the sand box to fight our enemies. They all were hand built and were different from one another. He is still building these down at the Eight Dollar Mountain Foundry. Pretty good wait for one of these fine fighting pieces, but with the on going war that does not surprise me.

Another shot of the US Army Ranger knife where you can see the Prototype No.1 stamp. This one has always been my favorite. The other (corded handle) was loaned to a relative who used it to good effect in Iraq a few years back. Sadly no longer pristine, but she served him and our country well.
