got this bayonet in trade Found out a little info on it it's a turkish yatagan style sword bayonet for the peabody breech loading musket grips were pressed leather and must have deteriorated away GG |

I had one like that one time. I don't know if the grips were original but they were rimmed and made out of brass and the grips looked as old as the bayonet. |

Had one similar too was marked "St Etienne Avril 1873" (St Stephen April 1873) I assume the armory.... |

are there any markings on it at all ? pommel , blade , hilt , quillon ? could you show closeup of the release/lock ? oak or walnut scales would display well for fun , you could make those |
