Well, it could be. I don't have a problem believing that given how much Italian equipment wound up in partisan hands. So if you don't have an M38, there's little need for the muzzle ring. Even if you had one, this is just not a good bayonet design. In any case, it's interesting and just might wind up shown in a book some day. The seller threw in parts including another folder missing the blade. Some schmuck who looks a lot like me has a NOS M38 folder blade. Andrey gets back from Spain, he can tell me how cheep they are in Europe. SW |

Not enough for me to enter hostilities with it. Finns commonly threw them away & felt they "weren't fit to open canned rations". SW |

Got it in today & took a few pics. It's shown here with a regular M91 Italian bayonet, a "Prezduce" which I THINK is for an M48 or Serb Mouser. A cut down M91 dagger is shown at the bottom. zKnife 001 (1024x806).jpg [ 349.18 KiB | Viewed 8740 times ] Here are a couple more views. Notice the belt slide rather than a frog keeper. The sheath was intended for a fighting knife instead of a bayonet. SW zKnife 002 (1024x286).jpg [ 150.1 KiB | Viewed 8740 times ] zKnife 003 (1024x443).jpg [ 212.46 KiB | Viewed 8740 times ] |

The bayo for the M24b is a long one and hard to find but that one will work. That is probably similar to one I got with my M24/52c. Rad |
