Warsteel, are you sure that it is cut down? The fuller does not appear to run to the point as would one that has been shortened. |

Does it have a date, or manufacturers make on it? It would appear to be a WW2 make. Tenbore is right.. |

No date, unless it is under the grips, just U C , and the flaming bomb. Should one try to buff it up with steel wool, or just leave the patina?? |

It is a WW2 make, not a cut down. Utica Cutlery. Here is a photo of AFH,American Fork and Hoe. Not a cut down. Then a pictute of a Springfield 1907 that was cut-down..note how the fuller goes almost thru the tip/// |

Here is a UC that was cut down. They made both,16" and 10". Note the difference in the tips between yours and mine. |
