Signed National Flag and other things.

Some interesting Field Glasses. Yep, wherever "there" was, these have been to that place.

"Comfort Bags" were the package of goodies from home. I got these two almost by accident.

Can't remember if I've posted this or not. American issue Japanese phrase book.

The Cool thing about it is all the notes handwritten in the back. It's neat for me to see the words that this particular G.I. thought were worth writing down.

And then there's those pesky Sake Cups...a few cause I can't help myself.

OK, got it out of my system, got a new Camera today and was just testing it out.

Thanks! Still missed a few things, but I've had a kind of withdrawl from not posting pics as I got new stuff.
Tim, I live close to a sort of Black Hole for Militaria. Only difference is that if you see it going by, you can buy it and take it home. :?
Comes in from far and wide.
You know what I couldn't find with a 50,000,000 candlepower light? An NCO Sword for under $600. Yep. :-o
The German prices are starting to hit the Japanese gear.

A Square. The only thing German I have beyond a couple of K-98's is an un-opened pack of smokes. What I meant by that was that the larger, inflated prices are coming to the Japanese collector.
Don't do those gentlemen the injustice.. I am but a lowly newcomer. My seeming flare has to do with the day to day items. Not to be confused with the weaponry those cats have. My Japanese rifles still number under 20 and my pistols under 10. I have tried pretty hard to make them count when I get them, but alas, different types of collecting.
I have seriously put an effort into "everything else", knowing that it will be years untill I can make bones on any of the serrious collectors out there(I would include former '03man and Arisakadogs and Trey from Castle Thunder). Those are the True collectors thriving out there.
I am but a humble servant of "Stuff". I love the oddball items.
They seem to have more "Life" to me. I get a bit more of a kick out of them in the long run.
Sorry for the long rant.
And I should say, thanks for the compliment before I tore it down.
Herr Mario, The things seem to have been in the direct blast of a large bomb. "blowed up" I believe, is the term. I'll get better pics soon.

do not diminish your stuff - you have some very nice pieces , my comparison was not so much based on quantity as much as evident interest , i see certain folks finding their way in specific areas and look to them as sources if the occasion arises , i realise roy has a fine assembly of firearms that puts most to shame but i see your photos and realise you have accoutraments that i never see around here ,

BTW what is that canteen made of ? it looks to be ceramic/pottery its in excelent conmdition

It's the varied interests of the collectors that makes things interesting
it would be rather boring to have everyone collecting the same thing..

Love the saki cup collection

Thanks A Square. That kind of compliment , I can't walk away from. Thank you.
I have to consult the book as I'm not sure off the top of my head what it's made of. I'll get back to ya.

Thanks Don, and Gungrubber, I'm gonna get some lights so I can take detailed pics of all the Sake cups soon. Got more than 50.
If I just use daylight then there's always a mean glare on the artwork.
