Fooled again. I was all ready to post my fave gravy recipe... and offer loan of a coyote trap to thin the turks out... But that's the most Turkish bayonets I think I've ever seen in one pic. Got a rifle for each one? And! Welcome to the craziness! PS - the coyote trap bit really works. Spread sunflower seeds or shelled corn in a likely spot - they will find it...** peck, peck, peck.... SNAP!!** Please pass the gravy! SW |

I think I recognize a couple of those - Pattern 1837 and Pattern 1841 sword bayonets. Maybe a Snider & Martini or two. My fave long bayonet is for the Kropatschek. SW |

SW, like the kropatschek myself but aint got round to them yet, have gone off on a tangent from the turk-brit/commonwealth & added several; german, austro-hungarian & ak variants, must curb the urges & concentrate on what I set out to do but they all soooo nice Asquare, as you can see I have a couple of P1888s spare & a P1856 sawback but alas no spare rare scabbards fo 88/03s As for rifles, I had quite a few at 1 point but she that must be obeyed gave me too much grief about the mountain of blades so had to cut back a little Cheers, Al |

SW, Snider was in 1 hell of a state when I bought it, think it must of of been 1 of those nepalese cache examples from IMA, was covered in dried on yak fat/grime, took ages to strip it down, clean all metal parts, cleean bore, then strip woodwork & re-BLO it, wish I had taken pics of it before, you would never have recognised it, Al |

Yep - those can be a real mess! I checked around & Easy-off oven cleaner ( blue can) works about the best on those rifles from Nepal. Yak fat is nasty stuff, but it sure preserves metal. 577 is a fun caliber to shoot. SW |

Away to scotland for 6 days work shortly but will try & sort out a few more bayonet pics, there are a couple of interesting P1913/M1917 & a very scarce WW2 Indian fighting knife amongst those already shown. Also have a few french, german, austro-hungarian & AK variants but not sure if I will have time for those before setting off, Aleck |
