heirloom that they know very little of ?

i found this in my grandfathers tool box , he left it to me - the box i mean - full of very old tools and a lot of parts and pieces , it was one of those old wooden [oak] tool boxes with the drawers - he was a machinist and worked an assembly line in later years for an overhead door company , this had seen a lot of use when i got it but it still operates fine and although it looks a little rough - it spent some years in his basement after retirement , it does not show a lot of sharpening really , probably not used hard - opening packaging i think , i dont think carried in the pocket as there is no wear pattern for that ,
